The components of castor oil are: 80% to 85% ricinoleic acid, 7% oleic acid, 3% linoleic acid, 2% palmitic acid, 1 % stearic acid, flammable but not flammable, soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons, almost insoluble in water, slightly volatile.
