Antibacterial effect: Pharmacological experiments showed that dihydromyricetin had antibacterial effects on Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, aerogenes, brewer's yeast, Rhodosaccharomyces mucus, penicillium, Aspergillus Niger, Aspergillus aflatus, mucor and rhizopus, especially on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria or bacilli.
Effects on the regulation of blood sugar and blood lipid: Pharmacological experiments in mice showed that dihydromyricetin could significantly inhibit the increase in blood sugar induced by alloxan and streptomycin, significantly reduce the infiltration of lymphocytes in pancreatic tissue, significantly reduce the inflammatory reaction, and significantly increase the number of islets. Dihydromyricetin decreased the content of serum triacylglycerol (TG) in hyperglycemia rats induced by streptomycin, but had no significant effect on the content of serum total cholesterol (TC) and high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL2C).
