Lincomycin HCL can be used as antibiotic drug for human and also can be used as veterinary medicine. It is primarily against gram-positive pathogens, and not effective against gram-negative bacteria such as Neisserie gonorrhoeae or Neisseria meningitidis, also used against susceptible strains of streptococci, pneumococci, and staphlylococci which usually can also be treated with penicillin or erythromycin.

For human:
1. Oral formulations is suitable for treating respiratory infections, abdominal infection, female reproductive tract infections, pelvic infections, skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pneumoniae.
2. In addition to the treatment of the above infections, injected formulations are suitable for treatment of severe infections caused by streptococcus, pneumococcus and staphylococcus such as the surgical adjuvant therapy of septicemia, bone and joint infections, chronic bone and joint infections and Staphylococcus-induced acute hematogenous osteomyelitis.
3. Lincomycin hydrochloride may also be used for the treatment of infectious diseases in patients allergic to penicillin or not suitable for administration of penicillin-type drugs.
For animal:
It is mainly used for the treatment of various infections caused by gram-positive bacteria, especially penicillin-resistant gram-positive bacteria, chronic respiratory diseases in poultry caused by mycoplasma, anaerobic bacterial infections such as swine asthma and chicken necrotizing enteritis. It is used for the treatment of dysentery, toxoplasmosis and actinomycosis in pigs treponemal, dogs and cats.
Swine: 150mg product/1 liter water; Chicken: 750mg product/L liter water (100g product/200L water)
Notice: This product is forbidden for hens during laying period.
